In this episode, guest host Keith joins Craig and Ron to reminisce about a friendship that began in kindergarten in the 1960s. The stories go way back—so far back that Keith and Craig once lived next door to each other and even shared their very first bath together as one-year-olds.
The conversation then turns to a legendary tale involving the Buds—Kenn, Ray, John, Keith, Craig, and Ron—and a Friday-night tradition at Carmens, an all-you-can-eat restaurant famous for its fish. Kenn, in particular, took full advantage of the deal. Because the restaurant required plates to be completely cleared before serving more, Kenn would discreetly hide uneaten French fries under his napkin. The staff quickly learned to dread his arrival, knowing they were about to lose money on the sheer amount of fish he could consume.
Kenn would settle in for hours, loosening his belt and even slipping off his shoes to maximize comfort—and capacity. One night, as the feast dragged on, one of the Buds decided to end the smorgasbord with a prank, making off with Kenn’s prized Adidas Country shoes. The result? A 50-year-old mystery that remains unsolved to this day. Who stole the shoes?
Join us for a laugh‑filled stroll through old friendships, 1970s traditions, and the unforgettable night the shoes went missing.
